Santo Domingo is known for having the most vibrant, diverse and consistent day and nightlife in the Dominican Republic.  Ask the locals and you'll get the answer quickly. Here you'll find the widest range of entertainment after dusk, from outdoor merengue/bachata concerts to clubs, from sidewalk cafes to colmados, from convenience stores to car washes.  Whether you're looking for upscale or casual fun, you'll find it in Santo Domingo. Dominicans love Santo Domingo's nightlife, they love to party and they know how to party. Whether it's live music, trendy clubs or lantern-lit cobbled squares, 'bistros' on the pavement - there's something magical and energising about this city after dusk.  The good news is that now you can experience it with us!  Much of Santo Domingo's nightlife is concentrated in a few key coastal areas: the Zona Colonial, Avenida Venezuela and Naco/Piantini. Our chosen location is known as one of the oldest districts in Latin America, the Zona Colonial. Well old indeed, but the nightlife here certainly doesn't age.  Zona Colonial, the district that boasts the coolest clubs in Santo Domingo and the Dominican Republic. It also has a special colonial charm, the kind of atmosphere that can only be understood by walking around and being surrounded by centuries-old buildings and historical monuments. After dinner, we can experience it for ourselves by walking around the old town and seeing it in all its night-time splendour.  During our walk we will visit:

At the end of our walk, we arrive at the nightclub of our choice. The clubs in the old town are full of Dominicans who like to dance with foreigners who want a taste of the real local fun.
